Listeners are being deprecated in GWT

I've just found one post of yours about web forms in gxt and followed all the way to your company's web site and blog.
I've been working with GXT for the past two days and I'm impressed by their intimate knowledge of GWT. It seems they've taken it a step up, by improving where GWT is lacking and reusing all they could.
Anyway, their event model is all based on listeners but in a post to the GWT forum Joel Webber has recently written they will probably be removed in GWT 2.0 in favour of handlers.
Do you thing they're going to migrate GXT to the use of handlers?
